There are a few security controls in the PayXpress Alternative Payments app designed to prevent unwanted device access, stop fraudulent refunds, and protect your personal settings.
The ”Device security” option, if enabled, will always require the device to be unlocked.
Notice that you can set the type of screen lock you want use for your device.
This setting overrides the whole Android system on your device.
No screen lock is set by default.
The “PIN for admin access” option protects access to the entire Settings menu.
The user will always have to enter the Admin PIN in order to access any PayXpress APM settings.
There is no Admin PIN set by default.
The “PIN for refunds” option, if enabled, makes the user provide a PIN in order to conduct a refund.
This feature can be used to reserve the ability to perform refunds to the line manager (or person in charge) in situations where many employees use the POS.
There is no refund PIN set by default, so if you want to use this feature, set one via the “PIN for refunds” option.
